Member Benefits

Support for Bereavement:

We provide financial support of £20,000 per funeral to help families during their time of need. Immediate Assistance:

Once you join, you are immediately eligible for support, whether it’s within a month or a year.

After Burial Services: We also offer after burial services, including tombstones or gravestones, transport, and accommodation for the family of the bereaved, ensuring a dignified and respectful funeral.

Contribution Details:

Consistent Contributions: We aim to have at least 3,333 paying members who contribute £10 each time there is a funeral.

Annual Contribution: We do not expect more than 40 funerals a year, so the total annual contribution would be around £400. However, we anticipate it to be closer to £320 per year, barring any unexpected increases.

Family Contribution Cap: Contributions are per member, but we cap the contribution at three members per family. This ensures that no family, regardless of size, pays more than £30 per funeral, making it affordable for larger families.

What We Do?

Additional Services and Future Growth:

Bulk Purchasing Program: We reserve the right to offer certain services in specific locations with actual products instead of cash, such as caskets, to reduce overall funeral costs through bulk purchasing.
Community Support Beyond Funerals: Our vision extends beyond funeral assistance. We aim to support various aspects of life, lowering costs through community efforts. This includes potential future services and programs to improve the lives of Zimbabweans living abroad.
Flexibility for Beneficiaries: Members can change the names of beneficiaries based on their circumstances, as long as they have at least three members listed. If a named beneficiary passes on, we will replace the name with another family member, ensuring continuous support without forcing a single named person to be the only beneficiary.
Fair Play Policy: To maintain fairness and community spirit, we have a strict policy in place. Members who join because they anticipate a loved one is about to pass away, access the community benefits, and then leave immediately after receiving support will not be allowed to rejoin for five years. This policy ensures that all members contribute fairly and consistently to support each other.
Relocation Flexibility: Our community is unique in that we allow members who relocate from the UK to continue their membership and receive benefits as long as they maintain their contributions. What makes us special?
Unlike other UK-based Zimbabwean funeral assistance policies that require members to reside in the UK, we support our members wherever they go. Whether they move back to Zimbabwe or any other country, they can remain part of our community and receive assistance in their time of need.

Rigorous Verification Process:

Verification Process: To ensure the integrity of our support system, we enforce rigorous checks and protocols. Our admin team will visit, verify, and double-check all claims before releasing benefits. This includes requiring proof of death, coroner reports, and police reports, depending on the complexity of the claim. This thorough process ensures that all claims are legitimate and that funds are used appropriately.

Increasing Payouts:

Payout Doubling: As our membership doubles, the payout per funeral will also double. This means that with every significant increase in our membership base, the financial support provided will increase, ensuring greater assistance to families in need.

Eligibility Criteria:

Membership is open to anyone over 18 years of age who is of Zimbabwean origin or has close ties to the Zimbabwean community.

Membership Fees:

Each member contributes £10 per funeral upon the death of another member. The estimated annual contribution is £320, but this may vary. For larger families, contributions are capped at £30 per household.
